Key ITSM Certifications

Getting everybody in the department to use the same ITSM terminologies will speed up the institutionalization of the ITSM culture. Here are some key trainings for the various ITSM roles:

Process 101 Workshop	All IT Staff	Process Architect provides this training using this opportunity to have a dialogue with the IT staff. This training will normally give the Architect a good gauge of the level of awareness regarding ITSM and the current maturity level within the IT department. From these dialogues, the Architect will have a good idea how to prioritize the ITSM initiatives.
ITIL Foundation Certification	All IT Staff
COBIT Foundation Certification	Service Owner, Process Owner and Leadership Team
PRINCE2 or PMP Practitioner Certification	Service Owner, Process Owner	Assumption made that the Service Owners and Process Owners are the Project Managers
PRINCE2 or PMP Foundation Certification	Leadership Team
MSP  Practitioner Certification	Project Management Office Lead & Leadership Team
ITIL Expert Certification	ITSM Process Architect
